24 Hour Common Sense Movement

One of the latest growing Christian movements these days is the 24 hour prayer movement. Groups around the world of mostly young students are popping up all over to pray. Actually, they mostly seem to sing and chant, but that is another thing all together.

In response to this I have have decided to create my own movement. It is called the 24 Hour Common Sense Movement. Everyone that participates will be required to think.
. . . . . . . OK, there is a little more to it than that. Before anyone speaks, they must think. The younger they are the longer they must think before they speak.
Before your move on to another thought, you must apply basic rules of logic and reason to that previous thought.

If you have a ministry to pray. And you pray specifically about abortion -- then you ought to know a victory from a defeat. When your lead thousands of young people in this endeavor, you have a responsibility to think through things.
Lou Engle rejoiced in the partial-birth abortion decision saying, "God did something great!" Which part was great?
The four inch difference (to the belly button) in how far you can pull the baby our before it they can be killed.
Or is it the part where they suggest ripping the arms and legs off the child.
Or, maybe, the suggestion of stabbing poison in the babies heart.

I'll support 24 hour prayer only after we have a good run of 24 common sense, wisdom and discernment.

victory from defeat?? Brother, don't despise the day's of small beginnings. Any answer to prayer, specifically any of the number of small victories in the war, including the ending of partial birth abortions and the closing of almost every abortion clinic in Missouri is something to praise God about! My friend, be careful not to become cynical toward prayer, towards those who do it, or towards God. Yes, abortion still exists, and so does sickness, darkness, and all manner of evil - more reason to press harder into God in the place of prayer for justice.

"And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?"Luke 18:7

Missouri Law Attacks Abortion Clinics
By Boarder
Filed under: State Legislation, Debate, Abortion, State Law, Ethics, Family - 06 Jul 2007
Missouri just passed a new law challenging the ability of young women from obtaining abortions. This time, it is the clinics themselves that have come under pressure.

Missouri governor Matt Blunt signed legislation today that places abortion clinics under government oversight by classifying them as ambulatory surgical centers. What this means, in effect, is that Planned Parenthood clinics all over Missouri must shut down and renovate in order to meet the government standards of their new designation as ambulatory surgical centers. For example, state regulations require halls to be at least 8 feet wide leading to operating and recovery rooms and at least 5 feet wide elsewhere. Most Planned Parenthood facilities in Missouri do not meet these standards, and will be forced to close down for a time. Renovations will exceed $1 million, putting a serious financial burdens on the organization and making it very difficult for women to obtain abortions in the coming months.

The legislation goes into effect on August 28th.

Pro-Lifers Celebrate Closing of Missouri Abortion Clinic in Springfield
BY Liz Townsend

Missouri pro-lifers celebrated as the Springfield Healthcare Center abortion clinic shut its doors October 20, closing the only abortion mill in the southwest corner of the state. The closure also ended the clinic's federal lawsuit against a new state law requiring abortionists to have privileges at a hospital within 30 miles of a clinic, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

"We rejoice in the lives that will be saved because the clinic is closing," said Missouri Right to Life lobbyist Susan Klein.

Missouri Law Keeps Abortion Business out of Schools

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Newly enacted legislation in Missouri says:

“No school district or charter school, or its personnel or agents, shall provide abortion services, or permit a person or entity to offer, sponsor, or furnish in any manner any course materials or instruction relating to human sexuality or sexually transmitted diseases to its students if such person or entity is a provider of abortion services.”

“We are ecstatic,” said Jim Sedlak, vice president of American Life League. “A new law just signed by Missouri’s governor will keep Planned Parenthood away from the children in that state, and that is a great victory for Missouri parents.”

“The elected officials in Missouri understood the conflict of interest that exists when Planned Parenthood is allowed to teach or provide material for sex education classes,” said Sedlak. “To have an entity that profits from the sale of birth control and abortion teaching our children about sex is ludicrous.”

“We encourage every state in the nation to follow Missouri’s example and implement similar laws,” said Sedlak. “We look forward to the day when Planned Parenthood is not allowed access to the children in any school district in the nation.”

"For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God —that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord." cor 1:25-27

The Holy Spirit is orchestrating a global worship and prayer movement that will operate in great authority (Luke 18:7–8; Matthew 21:13; Revelation 5:8, 8:3–5, 22:17; Isaiah 62:6–7; Joel 2:12–17 and 32). This prayer movement will operate in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David.

1 Timothy 2 says, "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone..."

Some fun scriptures in the bible about 24 hour prayer:)

Church history parallels Israel's history. Whenever God released a season of revival to restore what was lost, we see the aspects of David’s order of worship released in that generation. Every revival in history has received an aspect of God’s "new song and music" for that generation.

A. As a young man, David made a vow to dedicate his life to find a resting place or dwelling place for God. This refers to a place where an unusual measure of God’s presence is manifest on earth. David’s life work was to establish a resting place for God in Jerusalem in his generation.
1 LORD, remember David and all his afflictions; 2 How he swore to the LORD, and vowed to the Mighty One: 3 "Surely I will not go into the chamber of my house, or go up to the comfort of my bed; 4 I will not give sleep to my eyes…5 until I find a place for the LORD, a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob"…8 Arise, O, Lord, to Your resting place. (Ps. 132:1-8)
B. David vowed to live in extravagant devotion to seek the Lord with all his resources (time, talents, treasures). His vow included spending time in God’s House (Ps. 27:4), fasting (Ps. 69:7-12), extravagant giving of his money (1 Chr. 22:14) and embracing God’s order in worship.
C. This vow changed history and continues today in those who embrace it. It is at the heart of the End-Time worship movement. Lord, raise up a million believers who fully walk out this vow.
D. David’s vow positioned his heart to receive insight into the worship that God seeks.
23 True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. (Jn. 4:23)
E. Rev. 4-5 describes the worship order around God’s Throne. Those nearest God’s Throne agree with Him in worship and intercession as the most exalted occupation in the New Jerusalem.
8 The 4 living creatures...do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy…!" (Rev. 4:8)
F. David received revelation of worship according to God’s order in heavenly sanctuary.
96 I have seen the consummation of all perfection (God’s Throne of Glory)… (Ps. 119:96)
G. After receiving revelation of the worship in God’s heavenly sanctuary, David commanded God’s people to honor this order (2 Chr. 29:25; 35:4, 15; Ezra 3:10; Neh. 12:45).
11 David gave his son Solomon the plans…12 for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD…13 also for the division of the priests and the Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD…19 All this," said David, "the LORD made me understand in writing, by His hand upon me, all the works of these plans." (1 Chr. 28:11-19)
H. After David became king, the first thing he did was to capture Jerusalem (2 Sam. 5:3-10). Next, he gave expression to his sacred vow by setting up a worship tabernacle in Jerusalem (2 Sam. 6).
1 David…prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it…16 David spoke to the…Levites to appoint…singers accompanied by instruments of music… (1 Chr. 15:1-17)

1 They brought the ark…and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David… (1 Chr. 16:1)
I. David established the Levites to worship before the Ark which spoke of God’s Throne.
1 They brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. 4 He appointed Levites to minister before the ark…to praise the Lord…37 He left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister before the ark regularly, as every day's work required… (1 Chr. 16:1, 4, 37)
J. David established 4,000 full-time paid musicians and 288 paid prophetic singers.
1 David…separated for the service…the sons of Asaph, of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, stringed instruments, and cymbals…7 The number…who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, all who were skillful, was 288. (1 Chr. 25:1-7)

5 4,000 praised the Lord with musical instruments, "which I made," said David... (1 Chr. 23:5)
K. God promised to restore David’s Tabernacle and thus to reverse the damage of Israel’s apostasy. The fullness of the Tabernacle of David speaks of Jesus’ Millennial government over all nations that is based on 24/7 Davidic worship and intercession.
11 On that day I will raise up the Tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old… (Amos 9:11)
L. When Israel went astray, God raised up spiritual reformers (kings, Levites and others) with a vision to restore worship as David commanded it and to walk out David’s Ps. 132:2-5 vow.
M. Hezekiah’s revival included restoring full-time singers and musicians as commanded by David.
25 He stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with…stringed instruments…according to the commandment of David…for thus was the commandment of the LORD…27 The song of the LORD began, with the trumpets and with the instruments of David… (2 Chr. 29:25-27)
N. Josiah’s revival included restoring full-time singers and musicians as commanded by David.
3 He said to the Levites…4 “Prepare yourselves…following the instruction of David…” 15 The singers…were in their places, according to the command of David… (2 Chr. 35:3-15)
O. After the 70 years of Babylonian captivity, God raised up godly leaders, Zerubbabel, Ezra and Nehemiah who established full-time singers and musicians as commanded by David.
10 The priests stood…and the Levites…with cymbals, to praise the LORD, according to the ordinance of David. 11 They sang responsively…giving thanks to the Lord… (Ezra 3:10-11)

24 The Levites…give thanks, group alternating with group, according to the command of David…45 The singers and the gatekeepers kept the charge of their God…according to the command of David… (Neh. 12:24, 45)

III. DAVID’S VOW WILL BE EXPRESSED IN THE END-TIME WORSHIP MOVEMENT
A. God promised to establish intercessors who will never be silent until He restores Jerusalem.
6 I have set watchmen on your walls…they shall never hold their peace (be silent, NAS) day or night…7 give Him no rest till He establishes…Jerusalem a praise in the earth. (Isa. 62:6-7)
B. The End-Time Church will be in deep unity with the Spirit who is interceding for Jesus to come.
17 And the Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!" (Rev. 22:17)
C. The End-Time Church will “pray in conjunction with prophetic singing” to invite Jesus to return.
10 Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea…11 Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voice, the villages…let them shout from the mountains…13 The LORD shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out…He shall prevail against His enemies... (Isa. 42:10-13)
